History

Formed in 1974, Datong initially specialised in the development of Radio Frequency technology for use by amateur radio enthusiasts. By 1982, Datong had developed its first radio frequency Direction Finding product and during the subsequent period of heightened terrorist activity in the UK Datong moved the focus of operations to address the security and defence markets.

The growing global demand for Datong's technology in these markets has subsequently led to a rapid growth in the Company, particularly over the last 5 years.

The Company floated on AIM in October 2005 to facilitate the implementation of its growth strategies.
